Korea East-West Power wins national award for community support

Korea East-West Power received a prime minister’s award in the human sharing category of the National Sharing Korea Awards.

The South Korean power company was recognized for improving energy welfare for vulnerable people and supporting local communities.

The awards were established by South Korea’s health ministry, KBS and the Community Chest of Korea to promote a culture of sharing.

They have recognized individuals and organizations in four categories since 2012.

The company’s programs involve employees and reflect local residents’ needs, rather than relying only on one-time assistance.

The company said it would continue its community support work.
