Fujitsu unveils 634-gram 14-inch laptop with Intel Core Ultra 7

Fujitsu has unveiled the FMV Note U UX-L3, a 14-inch laptop that weighs 634 grams.

The company calls it the world’s lightest 14-inch laptop, and the model is intended for sale in Japan.

It uses an Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor with an AI chip that Fujitsu says can provide up to 49 TOPS of computing power.

The laptop has 16 GB of memory, 512 GB of storage, a 1,920-by-1,200 screen and a range of ports, including Ethernet and HDMI.

Its carbon-fiber body is tested for durability against drops, shock, dust, humidity and temperature extremes.

Fujitsu rates video playback at up to 7.5 hours, and says its charger can add about 80% battery charge in an hour.

Sales in Japan are due to start November 13, but the price has not been announced; the source estimates it may be around 260,000 yen.
