Two aircrew killed in Mirage 2000D crash to be honoured on November 3

A French Mirage 2000D crashed near Rogéville in eastern France on October 20, killing both crew members.

Lieutenant Quentin Klysz, 27, was the pilot, and Lieutenant-Colonel Antranig Sarkissian, 44, was the weapons systems officer.

They were returning to Nancy-Ochey air base after a night training mission when contact with the aircraft was lost.

The cause of the crash is still unknown, and investigations are under way.

A tribute will be held on November 3 at Nancy-Ochey air base.

The ceremony will honour the two aircrew members, who died while on duty.

The loss matters to the French Air and Space Force, and the investigations are expected to establish what happened.
