SRG to cut more than 200 jobs in administration and operations
Swiss public broadcaster SRG plans to cut more than 200 jobs in administration and operations.
The cuts come after SRG announced savings measures in September across its regional units, including SRF, RTS, RSI and RTR.
SRF is cutting 38 full-time positions and plans to save 9.7 million Swiss francs each year.
Those measures also affect programming: SRF will stop the Wednesday evening linear TV slot for «Reporter» and air fewer first-run episodes of some weekly radio shows.
SRG will save another 7.4 million francs in its group-wide programming division and cut 12 full-time jobs there.
It will stop broadcasting live UEFA Champions League matches from the 2027/28 season, changing how viewers can watch the competition on SRG channels.
