Krafton founder urges young entrepreneurs to leave their comfort zones

Krafton founder Chang Byung-kyu urged young entrepreneurs to take risks in a keynote in Seoul.

He spoke at the 2026 Jung Ju-yong Startup Competition, a contest run by the Asan Nanum Foundation that is now in its 15th year.

Chang said his own path changed when he shifted from studying mathematics to software development.

He also described leaving Neowiz after about 10 years and using his experience of overseas markets to assess the potential of PUBG: Battlegrounds.

Krafton is pursuing new AI businesses alongside games and physical AI, which Chang described as a move beyond familiar areas.

He encouraged contestants to widen their own possibilities by stepping outside their comfort zones.
