Netflix’s planned Ravenloft series may draw more attention than Vox Machina
Netflix has announced a live-action series set in Ravenloft, a gothic setting from the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy game.
The show has not premiered, and it is described as still a long way from becoming a reality.
Prime Video’s The Legend of Vox Machina is an animated Dungeons & Dragons series based on the actual-play web series Critical Role.
The show has been widely praised by critics, but the article argues that animation has limited its mainstream attention.
It predicts that Ravenloft may draw a larger audience because it is live action.
That would not necessarily make it a better show than Vox Machina.
The next step is for the Ravenloft series to be made and eventually premiere, but no release date is given.
