Patriots Could Consider Trading Defensive Tackle Christian Barmore

The New England Patriots may consider trading defensive tackle Christian Barmore before the NFL trade deadline on November 10.

Barmore has played fewer snaps this season, while teammate Cory Durden has started seven games to Barmore’s one.

The Patriots say they are saving Barmore’s opportunities for pass rushing, and he has three sacks this season.

He signed a four-year, $84 million extension in 2024 after a strong 2023 season, but his playing time has since declined.

The Patriots are 4-2 and second in the AFC East, so a trade is possible but not confirmed.

Barmore is due nonguaranteed base salaries of $18 million in 2027 and $19 million in 2028, and any move would depend on what another team offers.
