Coolpad Cool X Wide goes on sale in China from 999 yuan
Coolpad has put its Cool X Wide smartphone on sale in China after opening pre-orders on October 20.
The phone has a 6.38-inch screen with a wide 16:10 shape, designed to suit video and games when held sideways.
Its screen resolution is 720 x 1158, lower than Full HD, and its 90 Hz refresh rate makes screen updates smoother.
Prices start at 999 yuan for the version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with higher-storage options costing more.
The phone uses a MediaTek Helio G99 processor and supports 4G, not 5G.
Its unusual 94.5mm width makes it wider than most phones, while the battery capacity is 4,600mAh.
Coolpad has not announced a release outside China, so the listed prices apply only there for now.
The Coolpad Cool X Wide is now available to buy in China.
The base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs 999 yuan.
Two higher-storage options cost 1,199 yuan and 1,399 yuan.
The phone has a 6.38-inch 16:10 display with a 90 Hz refresh rate.
