Clark Atlanta student Morgan Gamble killed in Atlanta crash
Morgan Gamble, a 21-year-old Clark Atlanta University student, died after a car crash in Atlanta late Tuesday.
Police say Nikolai Dunford’s car hit Gamble’s vehicle on Hank Aaron Drive near Glen Street, and he faces charges including reckless driving and first-degree vehicular homicide.
One account says Dunford was driving 94 mph in a 35 mph zone, while another says police have not released the exact speed.
Gamble was studying media and production, worked on film projects in Atlanta and had a brief on-screen appearance while working on Netflix’s “A Different World.”
Her death has left her family and university community mourning, and the university offered students counseling support.
Her family and friends are urging city officials to improve safety at the intersection, including with speed bumps or more stop signs.
Her family plans to create a media scholarship in her name, but details have not been announced.
