Wrexham Open brings top rising tennis players to Wales

The Wrexham Open returns to Wales as the UK's largest indoor tennis event.

The W100 women's tournament runs from 18 to 25 October and is set to be the UK's biggest women's event outside the grass-court season this year.

Armenia's Alina Charaeva is among the contenders after beating world number one Elena Rybakina and former Wrexham winner Sonay Kartal at the China Open earlier this month.

British players include Alicia Dudeney, Hannah Klugman and Junior Nationals champion Daniella Britton.

Defending champion Mimi Xu will not compete; she is playing in Canada instead.

Xu won the singles and doubles titles in 2025, alongside Ella McDonald in the doubles, while this year's field also includes several international players and former top-50 competitors.
