Döring says investigation into López Beltrán fuel-smuggling allegations has stalled
Mexican opposition lawmaker Federico Döring says a criminal complaint has made no visible progress since it was filed in August 2025.
The complaint, submitted to Mexico’s federal prosecutor, concerns alleged links between Andy López Beltrán and illegal fuel trafficking.
López Beltrán, the son of former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, has denied those links and called the accusations a campaign against him and his family.
Döring says he and other lawmakers who filed the complaint have not been allowed to review the investigation file.
That means they say they cannot tell whether prosecutors have gathered information or questioned anyone.
The complaint also named other people and asked authorities to investigate several alleged crimes, including fuel trafficking and money laundering.
Döring is calling on prosecutors to act and disclose what they have done, but no outcome is stated.
PAN federal deputy Federico Döring says an investigation into allegations linking Andrés Manuel López Beltrán to fuel smuggling has made no progress.
Döring says he does not know what investigative steps Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office has taken.
He also says the PAN lawmakers who filed the complaint have been unable to review the investigation file.
The complaint was filed on August 27, 2025, and expanded in September of that year.
