Court hears voice notes from officer accused of killing Jesse Baird and Luke Davies

A Sydney jury heard voice notes from Beau Lamarre-Condon in his trial over the deaths of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies.

Prosecutors accuse the 31-year-old police officer of shooting the men with his service weapon at Baird’s Paddington home on 19 February 2024.

In messages sent days later to a man he had met on a dating app, Lamarre-Condon said he felt unwell and was trying to regain a positive mindset.

He has pleaded not guilty to two murder charges and a charge of aggravated break and enter.

His defence says the men were shot accidentally during separate struggles and that he acted in self-defence.

The jury has also heard evidence about phone records and a former police friend who said Lamarre-Condon asked her to help clean blood from a van.

The trial is continuing before the New South Wales Supreme Court.
