R.J. Decker Has Not Been Renewed for Season 3
ABC's R.J. Decker has not been renewed for Season 3 after its second season ended on October 27.
The crime drama follows former newspaper photographer and ex-con R.J. Decker, played by Scott Speedman, who works as a private investigator in South Florida.
The finale revealed Jessica killed Bobby, a former police colleague of Mel's, and threatened Mel's wife and daughter.
Their safety was left uncertain, setting up a major cliffhanger.
Showrunner Rob Doherty says the team wants to be ready for another season, and writers have discussed whether Jessica's story should be resolved quickly or continue across episodes.
A third season could revisit R.J.'s relationships and bring back his father, while Doherty also hopes for more episodes to develop other characters.
ABC will decide whether the show returns, and all seven Season 2 episodes are available on Hulu.
