Okaz Honors Saudi Journalist Anas Al-Yousef for His Career

Okaz honored Saudi journalist Anas Al-Yousef for his professional contributions.

He built much of his career at the Saudi Gazette, where he advanced through editorial roles to become the newspaper’s editor-in-chief.

He also led its digital transformation, overseeing a relaunch of its website and news app in early 2026.

The relaunch won a WAN-IFRA award for the best news website relaunch in the Middle East.

Al-Yousef has covered international events and interviewed public figures, drawing on his work in Arabic and English.

His career also includes newsroom leadership and institutional development, including service on an Okaz committee that developed the company’s identity in 2019.

He received the Media Leader of the Year 2025 award at the Athar Creativity Festival, and Okaz’s tribute recognizes his wider work in journalism.
