Penguin Colony is blocked from sale in Israel at developer’s request

Origame Digital asked to block Penguin Colony sales in Israel, and publisher Fellow Traveller confirmed it is unavailable there.

Fellow Traveller said the studio wanted the restriction to demonstrate solidarity with Palestine.

Penguin Colony is a horror game in which players control penguins whose home is invaded by human factions searching for an ancient being.

The game is based on H.P. Lovecraft’s story At the Mountains of Madness and was released for PC.

The game’s closing scene criticizes the games industry’s response to the ongoing genocide of Palestinians, reflecting the studio’s stated political position.

Console versions are planned for 2027.
