Christian Horner says daughter helped him cope with Red Bull dismissal

Former Red Bull team principal Christian Horner says his daughter’s courage helped him cope with losing his job.

Horner said he watched 11-year-old Olivia receive an award at school on the day he was dismissed in July 2025.

Olivia had lost her mother the week before; Beverley Allen, Horner’s former partner, died aged 58 after a battle with eye cancer.

Horner said seeing Olivia stand on stage made his own problems feel smaller.

Red Bull dismissed Horner after two decades in a role in which he oversaw 14 world championship titles.

He said he had expected a meeting about marketing, but was told the team wanted to go in a different direction.

Horner also credited his wife, Geri, with supporting him, and said he tells Olivia every day that he is proud of her.
