Fritz! releases test updates for routers ahead of FritzOS 8.50

Fritz!

released new test updates for several routers and repeaters in late October.

The devices include the FritzBox 7590, 7590 AX and 7630, along with three FritzRepeater models.

The test software mainly brings stability improvements and fixes, including work on connection problems with Apple HomePod mini devices.

FritzOS 8.50 is a major update that adds features such as internet address filters, automatic traffic prioritisation and new smart home and phone options.

Four FritzBox models already have the finished update, while many others are still in testing.

Labor versions are not the finished update and may contain errors, so users who need a reliable connection may prefer to wait.

Users who install a test version should save their router settings first; the sources do not give a date for when more models will receive the final update.
