Five WTA Finals champions have never won a Grand Slam

Five players have won the WTA Finals without winning a Grand Slam: Sylvia Hanika, Agnieszka Radwanska, Dominika Cibulkova, Elina Svitolina and Caroline Garcia.

The WTA Finals is a season-ending tournament that brings together top players on the women’s tennis tour.

Hanika won in 1982, Radwanska in 2015, Cibulkova in 2016, Svitolina in 2018 and Garcia in 2022.

All five reached at least a Grand Slam semi-final, and three reached a major final, but none won one.

Svitolina is the only player on the list still active, while Garcia retired in 2025.

Svitolina has qualified for this year’s WTA Finals, so she could become the first to win it twice without a major title.
