Franck Muller launches piano-inspired watch in Japan
Franck Muller has launched its piano-inspired Grand Curvex Piano watch in Japan.
It first went on sale at Tokyo’s Ginza Six on 6 November, with a wider Japanese release planned for 12 November.
Its black dial is built from 20 layers of enamel to echo the polished finish of a grand piano.
The hand-wound movement can run for about 170 hours on a full winding, so it does not need to be wound every day.
The watch has no hour numerals and displays its remaining power with a pointer at 10 o’clock.
The limited edition comes in two versions, priced at ¥4,818,000 and ¥5,830,000, with 50 and 20 pieces available respectively.
The wider Japanese release is the next stated step.
