Ghosts Halloween Special Introduces Hetty’s Estranged Sister
CBS’s Ghosts introduces Hetty’s estranged sister Margaret in a two-part Halloween special set at Woodstone mansion.
Margaret, played by Maria Thayer, appears after Jay brings home an old mirror from a nearby flea market.
Margaret’s spirit was trapped in a mirror when she saw her reflection as she died.
The mirror once belonged to the Woodstone family and was in Margaret’s room as she lay dying.
Hetty had blamed Margaret for losing her chance at love, but learns that Margaret had shown interest in Julian first and Hetty had not listened.
Rebecca Wisocky says this discovery could change how Hetty thinks about love, relationships and her own memories.
The revelation may give Hetty room to grow, though no specific next steps are stated.

What people are saying
I’ve been begging to meet my mustachioed sister Margaret ever since I mentioned her in a like almost throwaway quip in Season 1, and I’m so glad that they did it
She was escaping pain, escaping the truth
When she realizes that this fundamental pivot point in her life, she was not seeing clearly, I think that opens her up to being, I think, a little more malleable to her interpretation of love, to her expectation in relationships, and to her capacity to trust her own version of history
