Oman signs 28 investment deals worth more than $790 million

Oman signed 28 investment agreements worth more than $790 million for projects and expansions across its industrial cities and economic zones.

The deals include investments in Sohar, Duqm, Salalah and Khazaen, with industrial cities receiving the largest share.

Projects include a steel products factory in Sohar, an automotive assembly complex and manufacturing facilities for food, medical devices and power transformers.

In Duqm, planned projects include a shrimp-feed factory, fish processing and a facility linking livestock quarantine with red meat supply.

The agreements support Oman’s plan to diversify its economy and attract more private investment beyond oil.

Oman’s 2026–2030 development plan identifies manufacturing as a key growth sector and targets annual growth of 5.9 percent.

The projects are intended to expand manufacturing and strengthen the zones’ role in trade and logistics.
