Missouri running back Ahmad Hardy set for season debut against Arkansas

Missouri running back Ahmad Hardy is set to return Saturday against Arkansas after missing the first seven games of the season.

He was recovering from a gunshot wound suffered at a concert in Mississippi in May.

Hardy returned to practice this week, and he is expected to get a handful of carries but not start.

Jamal Roberts has led Missouri’s backfield while Hardy was out and is expected to keep his starting role.

Hardy rushed for 1,649 yards and 16 touchdowns last season, making his return a boost for Missouri’s offense.

The Tigers are 5-2 and face Arkansas on the road before a game against Texas on November 7.

Missouri then has games against Georgia and Kentucky, according to ESPN.

As I understand it, Mr. Hardy was already inside a vehicle trying to get off of the property, and was shot while in the car, which was very unfortunate for him.
