Gambhir says inexperienced bowling attack is India's biggest ODI challenge
India coach Gautam Gambhir says an inexperienced bowling attack is the team's biggest challenge in the upcoming five-match ODI series against New Zealand.
The series begins November 4, and India will be without Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya.
Mohammed Siraj, with 51 ODIs, is the most experienced pacer in the group; Arshdeep Singh has played 18, while three others have played nine or fewer.
Gambhir says the bowlers should get much of the credit if India win, because the batting unit has more experience.
He said bowling is especially important to winning series overseas, and India must also balance ODI preparations with two Tests later in the tour.
The series will show whether India's less experienced bowlers can deliver in New Zealand.
