Warby Parker to open pre-orders for Samsung's Android XR glasses on November 12

Warby Parker says pre-orders for its Android XR glasses start November 12.

The glasses are being developed by Samsung and Google, with Warby Parker designing some of the frames.

They run Google's Android XR platform and include Gemini, but do not have a built-in display.

Instead, they have a camera, microphones and speakers, and users can control them by voice or touch.

Warby Parker plans to reveal the collection and its pricing on November 12, and initial deliveries are expected in mid-December.

The glasses will compete with Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses, and demos are due to begin at Warby Parker stores in the US.

The company says demos will first be available in 65 stores, then expand to more than 360 locations the following week.
