Jungheinrich launches electric forklifts designed for Asian markets

Jungheinrich has launched a new range of electric forklifts aimed at Asian markets.

The German maker says the EFG MB and MC models are designed for the region’s tight warehouses and factories, with capacities from 1.6 to 3 tons.

Buyers can configure the trucks for different workloads, choosing between an energy-efficient package and one with more driving and lifting power.

Models rated for 2.5 to 3 tons come with the higher-performance package and can use lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries.

Regenerative braking can recover up to 30% of stopping and lowering energy, helping the forklifts run longer between charges.

Orders are now open for the three- and four-wheel models, which Jungheinrich says will be supported by its service network across Asia-Pacific.
