France may raise RSA and AAH benefits by 2.3% in April 2027

France’s RSA and disability benefits could rise by 2.3% in April 2027, according to a preliminary estimate.

The RSA is income support for people on low incomes, while the AAH supports adults with disabilities.

If the estimate holds, the maximum monthly RSA for a single person would rise from €651.69 to €666.68, and the maximum AAH would increase from €1,041.59 to €1,065.55.

Actual RSA payments depend on a household’s income and may be lower than the stated maximum.

The proposed 2027 budget would freeze housing aid, the activity bonus and family benefits, rather than increase them with inflation.

That could reduce the real value of frozen benefits if prices continue to rise.

The final increase depends on inflation figures due in early 2027 and on Parliament’s decisions; if approved, the new RSA and AAH rates are expected to apply from 1 April.
