Yash says Sai Pallavi is right for Sita in Ramayana

Yash has defended Sai Pallavi’s casting as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, a film based on the Hindu epic.

Some viewers questioned the casting when it was announced, and other cast members have also backed Pallavi.

Speaking at the film’s international trailer launch in Bengaluru, Yash said Pallavi remembers Sita whenever she gets the chance and described her as devoted and God-fearing.

He said she has the qualities to play Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Ram, while Yash plays Ravan.

The first part is due in cinemas on November 5, 2026, with Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman among the other cast members.

A second part is scheduled for Diwali 2027, and the sources say it will include the battle between Ram and Ravan.

We all know Sai is such a brilliant actor. You know, she’s accomplished so much. The first day, I remember, when I saw her as Sita, I just looked at Nitesh sir, and we both just knew that we couldn’t have cast someone better than her.
