Samsung C&T to bring Homeniq platform to Geumseongbaekjo apartments
Samsung C&T and Geumseongbaekjo will bring a home-services app to Geumseongbaekjo apartments under a new agreement.
The app, called Yemiji by Homeniq, is based on Samsung C&T’s Homeniq home platform.
The partnership brings Homeniq to apartments built by 21 South Korean construction firms in total.
Residents will be able to control home internet-connected devices, book shared facilities, register visitors’ cars and manage energy use.
The first planned rollout is at an Asan housing project in South Chungcheong province, which Geumseongbaekjo plans to put on sale next February.
The companies say they plan to add services such as AI parking, energy monitoring and technology to reduce noise between floors.
Samsung C&T’s construction division signed an agreement with Geumseongbaekjo to introduce the Homeniq home platform to its apartments.
The two companies will offer the service under the name Yemiji by Homeniq.
The platform will include home IoT controls, community-facility bookings, visitor vehicle registration and energy management.
Geumseongbaekjo plans to first use it at a development in Asan, South Chungcheong Province, scheduled for sale next February.
