Skydance names TV and streaming leaders as executives prepare to leave
Skydance is reshaping its TV and streaming leadership after its merger of Warner Bros.
Discovery and Paramount.
JB Perrette, who oversees the company’s TV and direct-to-consumer divisions, announced the changes in a memo to staff.
Seven executives are set to leave, including leaders from HBO Max, Paramount+ and international TV and streaming teams.
The changes aim to connect the TV and streaming businesses more closely while assigning some leaders to focus on one area.
Several executives are taking expanded or new roles, including Shauna Spenley as marketing chief for global streaming and international TV, and Trey Turner as chief operating officer of international.
Pluto TV, Skydance’s free streaming service, currently has no leader, and the company will search for a new head among internal and external candidates.
The appointment matters because Pluto is a key part of Skydance’s streaming business, which also includes subscription services Paramount+ and HBO Max.
