Suwon sends 10 companies to Indonesia and Singapore to seek export buyers

Suwon, a city in South Korea, is helping 10 local companies find export buyers in Indonesia and Singapore.

The companies make products linked to Korean culture, and the city selected them in May.

The effort aims to open markets outside the Middle East, where instability has made trade difficult for some exporters.

The city chose Indonesia and Singapore as major trade hubs in Southeast Asia.

The companies met buyers in Jakarta on October 20, with talks involving 50 businesses.

They are due to meet another 50 businesses in Singapore on October 22 and 23.

Suwon says it will provide information on buyers' finances and business backgrounds to help the companies assess potential partners.
