Prema Rawat sets women's T20 record with 14-ball fifty

India's Prema Rawat scored a half-century in 14 balls for Uttarakhand in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy on Monday.

The match against Hyderabad took place at the MCA Cricket Stadium in Gahunje, Pune.

Her 14-ball fifty broke Fatima Sana's 15-ball record for the fastest half-century in women's T20 cricket.

Rawat finished unbeaten on 50, and Uttarakhand won by 89 runs, posting 187 for two before restricting Hyderabad to 98 for eight.

Rawat also took two wickets for 12 runs, showing her impact with both bat and ball.

The record brings attention to Rawat's batting, as she has scored 13 runs in seven T20 internationals while taking seven wickets.

She was retained by Royal Challengers Bengaluru ahead of the WPL 2027 auction and is set to play in the tournament's fifth edition in January and February.
