Indian stocks rise as companies report mixed September-quarter results

Indian stocks extended their recovery, with the Nifty 50 rising 1.05% to 22,937 on Thursday.

The move came as buying spread beyond banks, and the index closed above the 22,800 level that a market analyst said could act as near-term support.

Several companies are drawing attention as they report results for the September quarter of FY27.

Trent’s profit rose 25.3% from a year earlier, while Suzlon Energy’s fell 69%, partly because the year-ago quarter included a one-time tax benefit.

IndiGo’s loss narrowed year on year to Rs 1,879 crore but widened from the previous quarter, while Vedanta Power returned to profit.

Investors are also watching a possible 12% stake sale in Sagility by its promoter, as well as other company updates.

These results and developments are expected to shape attention in the next trading session.
