Lecce host Genoa as both seek to improve their Serie A position

Lecce host Genoa at Via del Mare on Monday in a Serie A match between two teams seeking to improve their league position.

Lecce go into the game after two straight league defeats, including a 5-1 loss to Frosinone, and need to respond in front of their home supporters.

Genoa arrive with confidence after beating Juventus 2-0 and winning three of their last four matches.

The teams have met 24 times, with Genoa winning 11, Lecce six and seven matches ending in draws.

Lecce won the most recent meeting at Via del Mare, 1-0 in May 2026, but Genoa have the stronger overall record between the clubs.

The match gives Lecce a chance to halt their losing run, while Genoa can build on their recent momentum; both sides are also looking to climb the table.
