Arsyadany Ghana Akmalaputri appointed Indonesia's electricity director general

Energy Minister Bahlil Lahadalia appointed Arsyadany Ghana Akmalaputri as Indonesia’s director general of electricity on Monday.

The appointment took place at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry in Jakarta.

Arsyadany previously served as director of distribution at state utility PLN, where she began her career in 2006.

She takes over a post that had been held on an acting basis by Tri Winarno, the mineral and coal director general, since October 2025.

Her career has included roles in electricity distribution, planning, communications and asset management.

Eleven ministry officials were appointed to new posts at the ceremony, though Arsyadany was the only one named to a director-general position.
