Chvrches announce album and 2027 tour
Scottish trio Chvrches announced All The King’s Men, their first album since 2021’s Screen Violence.
The 11-song album is due January 22, 2027, and includes the single “Roses,” released last month.
Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty reunited in Glasgow to write and record the new music after taking a break from the band.
They sought a different direction, drawing on British and Scottish history and influences including Massive Attack, Nick Drake and PJ Harvey.
The album’s songs move further toward rock and acoustic instruments than the band’s usual synth-led sound.
Chvrches will tour North America, the UK and Ireland from February 13 to May 6, with dates including Philadelphia, Toronto, Glasgow and London.
Tickets go on general sale October 30, after an artist pre-sale begins October 27.
