Seocheon adds 668 residents to its integrated care program

Seocheon County added 668 people to its integrated care program in the 100 days after its new local administration began.

The program had 852 residents by October 8, up from 184 at the end of June.

Instead of waiting for people to apply, county staff visit neighborhoods to find residents who may need care and check their health and living conditions.

Thirty dedicated workers were assigned to local areas in September to help arrange services.

Support includes home medical visits, nursing and care, meals, help with housework, and improvements to living conditions.

From March 27 to August 31, applications per 10,000 residents were eight times the national average.

The county says it will keep identifying residents in need and checking the health, circumstances, and service needs of those already receiving care.
