Stephen Curry and Brandin Podziemski to miss Warriors game against Suns
Stephen Curry is expected to miss Golden State’s game against Phoenix on Saturday night.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr is managing Curry’s workload, with the team playing its third game in four days and the second half of a back-to-back.
Curry missed 39 games last season with a nagging right knee injury, and Kerr has said the team is increasing his workload slowly this season.
Brandin Podziemski will also be out after missing the season opener with a lower back strain.
The Warriors are 0-2, and several other players are injured, while Phoenix is coming off a 41-point loss in its opener.
Curry’s absence could give the Suns a boost in their home opener at Mortgage Matchup Center.
The game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m.

Probably not
We are purposefully ramping up Steph more slowly this year, this training camp, than he’s used to.
It was just an avalanche.

Steph Curry said he "probably" won't play tomorrow in Phoenix in the Warriors' first back-to-back of the season. Plans to talk to training staff, but clear they are easing him into the season.
Brandin Podziemski said he will not play tomorrow in Phoenix. So it sounds like the already depleted Warriors will also be without Steph Curry and Podziemski against the Suns. He missed the opener with a tweaked back.
