Ye Ordered to Pay $321,000 to Worker Injured at Malibu Mansion
A judge has ordered Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, to pay construction manager Tony Saxon $321,000 over injuries Saxon suffered while working at Ye’s Malibu mansion.
In March, a jury awarded Saxon $140,000 and found Ye responsible for failing to pay workers’ compensation.
The judge added $181,000 for Saxon’s legal fees and costs, but the total is far below the $3.2 million Saxon initially sought.
Saxon said he hurt his back during the 2021 renovation, which was intended to turn the mansion into an open-plan bunker.
Ye disputed Saxon’s claims, and jurors rejected his claims of wrongful termination and underpaid wages.
Ye has filed a separate case accusing Saxon of interfering with the home’s sale, and that countersuit is still pending.
The dispute is one of several lawsuits by former employees; two more cases are set for trial in February.

I respect Judge Hammond’s openness to consider my argument
This ruling would be a catastrophe for any contingency-based bottom feeder, but it will be especially, devastatingly, and, dare I say it, fittingly humiliating for Mr. Rahmani.
