Turkey’s HİSAR A+ Autonomous System Hits Jet-Powered Target

Turkey’s HİSAR A+ Autonomous system hit a jet-powered target in a missile test.

The test was coordinated by the Presidency of Defence Industries, with ROKETSAN and ASELSAN as lead contractors.

The system is already in the Turkish armed forces’ inventory and was developed with contributions from more than 200 local companies.

It brings its components together on one vehicle and is designed to protect military units and fixed sites from air threats.

HİSAR-A has a range of more than 15 kilometres and can reach targets at up to 10 kilometres altitude.

The system is intended to counter aircraft, drones, cruise missiles and air-to-ground missiles.

The successful test demonstrated the system’s ability to hit a target, but no further steps were announced.
