Diamondbacks to Bring Back Hitting Coach Joe Mather in 2027

The Diamondbacks will keep Joe Mather as their hitting coach for 2027.

Arizona scored well in some of Mather’s seasons, but its offense fell in several rankings this year.

Catcher Gabriel Moreno won the National League batting title, while some other key players were less effective than last season.

Mather will work with much of the same group next year, though the team has said it wants to add a left-handed hitter.
