James Acaster confesses to being a Traitor in Celebrity Traitors semi-final

James Acaster admitted he was a Traitor during the Celebrity Traitors semi-final on BBC One.

Rather than defend himself, the comedian told the other players to vote him out.

His confession left fellow Traitors Maya Jama and Kenny facing the final with fewer allies.

Maya was already under suspicion and nearly gave away her role with a mistake at breakfast.

The game asks players called Faithfuls to identify and remove the hidden Traitors, while Traitors try to stay in the game.

Acaster said three Traitors would have been sure to win, making his departure a major change to the balance of the game.

The grand final is next, and the remaining players must decide whom they can trust.
