Turkey’s climate-control exports had a positive first nine months

Turkey’s climate-control industry reported a positive export performance in the first nine months of the year, despite uncertainty in global trade and pressure from costs.

The sector includes businesses that make heating, cooling and ventilation products.

Germany was the top export market, with $635.1 million in shipments, followed by the United Kingdom and Italy.

Istanbul led Turkey’s provinces, with $2.1 billion in sector exports; Manisa was next with $657.6 million.

The figures show which overseas markets and Turkish provinces were most important to the industry during the period.

Industry head Osman Baştaş said the year had gone well despite the difficult conditions.

The sector aims to reach $8.1 billion in exports by year-end, by making use of opportunities in the final quarter.
