Lando Norris’s LN4 Fusion awaits decision on Formula 2 entry
Lando Norris’s new team, LN4 Fusion, has applied to join Formula 2 for the 2027 season.
The championship is choosing teams for the 2027, 2028 and 2029 seasons, with a decision expected within about a month to six weeks.
Formula 2 CEO Bruno Michel said the championship will keep the same number of teams, rather than expand its grid.
He said the limit helps protect the teams and that 22 drivers is enough, given Formula 1 also has 22 drivers.
Norris launched LN4 Fusion in September, and the team took over assets from AIX Racing; it also has a Formula 3 entry through 2027.
Norris says the team aims to give drivers support and opportunities like those that helped him reach Formula 1.
LN4 Fusion’s place in Formula 2 will be clear when the selection results are announced.
