Drakeo the Ruler’s mother settled her wrongful death lawsuit with Live Nation and several other companies over his killing.
The rapper, whose legal name was Darrell Caldwell, was fatally stabbed backstage at a Los Angeles music festival in December 2021, shortly before he was due to perform.
His mother had alleged that a violent crowd was allowed into a backstage area that should have been secured.
The settlement’s terms were not disclosed, and its dismissal depends on specified steps being completed within 45 days.
The deal does not resolve separate claims brought on behalf of Drakeo’s son or by his brother, bodyguard and friends who were backstage.
Those claims are set for trial next month in Los Angeles.
No arrests have been made, and authorities have not identified rapper YG as a suspect or person of interest in the killing.
