Donghae Pay cashback rises to 15% for 18 days

Donghae City in South Korea will raise Donghae Pay cashback from 10% to 15% for 18 days, starting Oct.

29.

The higher rate is part of the national 2026 Korea Grand Festival, a government-backed effort to encourage consumer spending.

Donghae Pay is a local payment service that returns part of users’ spending as cashback.

During the promotion, spending 500,000 won could earn up to 75,000 won back, compared with 50,000 won at the usual rate.

The city hopes the extra reward will ease residents’ costs and boost sales for small businesses amid high prices and weaker spending.

The additional 5% cashback is funded by the national government, and the offer may end early if its budget runs out.

I hope this expansion of cashback will provide practical savings on living costs for residents facing the burden of high prices and an opportunity to increase sales for small business owners.
