FSB Says Explosives Were Hidden in Goggles Sent to Russian Troops

Russia’s FSB says it uncovered explosives inside FPV drone goggles intended for Russian military personnel.

The goggles were reportedly sent through volunteers as aid, with a first shipment found in the Volgograd region and other batches intercepted elsewhere in Russia.

The FSB says the devices were hidden where cooling fans would normally sit and could detonate when the goggles were switched on.

The agency blames Ukrainian special services, but the supplied accounts do not independently verify that claim.

The FSB has opened a criminal case covering the alleged manufacture and transport of explosives and attempted terrorism.

Investigators are working to identify those responsible, and the FSB has urged volunteer groups to accept aid only from trusted sources and inspect it for explosives.
