Prime Video renews Guy Ritchie's Young Sherlock for another season
Prime Video has renewed Young Sherlock for another season, after its first season of eight episodes.
The series follows 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes at Oxford University, where his brother Mycroft has secured him a job as a scout.
When ancient scrolls go missing and Sherlock becomes the main suspect, he investigates to clear his name, with permission from the donor, Princess Shou'an of China.
He works with James Moriarty, an unlikely ally rather than a rival, as they uncover a wider conspiracy involving murder, revenge and royalty.
The story also explores Sherlock's search for answers about his sister Beatrice's childhood disappearance.
The series presents Sherlock as a young detective still developing his skills, giving the character room to change.
A further season is planned, though no release date is stated.
