Russian stock indices fall as oil prices decline
Russian stock indices fell on Monday, with the MOEX down 2.28% and the dollar-denominated RTS down 2.79% by the close.
The decline came as lower oil prices prompted investors to take profits, according to a market expert.
The fall in exporters’ shares was partly cushioned by a weaker ruble.
Rusal shares dropped 4.63% after the company reported sharply lower profits under Russian accounting standards for the first nine months of 2026.

Analysts expect the MOEX to trade between 2,420 and 2,490 points in the next session on Tuesday.
