Mexico City forecast to see temperatures as low as 4°C

Mexico City officials expect colder weather from October 16 to 19.

The city’s risk and civil protection agency says temperatures could fall to 4°C, especially in higher areas in the south and west.

The coldest conditions are expected overnight and in the early morning, while afternoons should be cool to mild, with highs of 16°C to 21°C.

Rain is also forecast, with showers likely through the period.

Wind gusts could exceed 50 kilometres per hour from Friday night into Saturday.

The agency advised people to dress warmly, cover their nose and mouth, and stay alert for updated forecasts.

It also said rooms using heaters or fireplaces should be kept ventilated to reduce risks at home.
