Delhi Coach Says He Would Welcome Kohli to Vijay Hazare Trophy

Delhi coach Vijay Dahiya says he would welcome Virat Kohli if the batter wants to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Kohli has not confirmed that he will join Delhi for the tournament.

He played two matches for Delhi last season, scoring 131 and 77.

The tournament starts on December 14, while Kohli is scheduled to play in India's three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka on December 13, 16 and 19.

Those commitments mean he will miss Delhi's first three matches against Goa, Punjab and Rajasthan.

He could join the team for its December 21 match against Chandigarh, but that is not confirmed.

Dahiya says he wants Kohli to share his career and work ethic with Delhi's younger players.

He is available. Somebody who played last year is always available; he doesn’t need to formally declare it.
